Each summer the Arlington Band Boosters Inc. (ABBI) sponsors a summer music camp for all Arlington instrumental music students completing 4th through 9th grades.
The programs are held at Arlington High School and run for four weeks from June 29 to July 21, 2026, and again from August 24 - 27, 2026.
The Elementary / Mon-Thurs. program is for students completing 4th, 5th & 6th Grades and runs Monday - Thursday from 9:00-10:30am the first three weeks of the summer and again Week 9 (Aug 24-27) from 6:00-7:30pm.
All 6th grade students with limited experience/skills (1-2 years experience) should register for the Mon-Thurs program.
The Junior High program is for students completing 6th grade, with at least 3 years playing experience, every Tuesday, or 7th - 9th Grades, every Monday, in the evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.
The Summer Band programs are designed to give your child a wide variety of musical experiences. The pleasure of performing new music, as well as old favorites, inspires your child and supports progress on their instrument. Summer participation can also help avoid the great amount of regression caused by long summer vacations. We realize that many will be away during part of the summer music program. We hope that this will not discourage you from enrolling your child those weeks that attendance is possible.
In order to make this program self-supporting, it is necessary to charge a nominal participation fee for all ensembles. It is our belief to make this program affordable for all, we continue to keep our low pricing structure that we have had for almost 60 years. Scholarships are available for those Arlington students in financial need.
All Mon-Thurs. camp students will receive a FREE SUMMER BAND T-SHIRT. This is included in the weekly price. (One free shirt per student, per summer.) Monday or Tuesday Night camp students may purchase a shirt for $15.
