We have a long history of welcoming students from area districts such as Spackenkill, Millbrook, Hyde Park, Wappingers, Beacon, Carmel, Dover, Pawling, Pine Plains and Poughkeepsie City Schools. We are excited to have you join us! :-)

The elementary Summer Band program is for those students (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba and Percussion) in grades four through six, with 1, 2 or 3 years of playing experience, runs in the mornings for three weeks, and in the evenings for one week at the end of the summer. Students may choose from any or all of the four weeks offered. The program is non-sequential so students that come later in the summer will not miss out on material or lessons, (only the fun!!)
Summer Band keeps your child's interest up by providing daily experiences playing their instruments with classmates and students from around Arlington and throughout the Hudson Valley.
Band Rehearsals will incorporate duets, full ensemble music, rhythm games and music videos to inspire and excite the students to thrive in a band ensemble environment.
Band rehearsals take place every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Weeks 1, 2 & 3 times are 9:00-10:30AM and Week 9 is 6:00-7:30PM
Please note that when July 4th falls on M, T, W, or Th we will meet on Friday instead. (not in 2026)
In order to make this program self-supporting, it is necessary to charge a participation fee for all ensembles. These fees should be paid in advance and returned with the registration form. Print a registration form HERE.
It is our belief to make this program affordable for all, we continue to keep our low structure that we have had for almost 60 years.
All Mon-Thurs camp students will receive a Summer Band T-Shirt. This is included in the weekly price. (Only one free shirt per student, per summer.)
